Pros and cons of Hipster CEO app for iPhone and iPad
Hipster CEO app good for
One of the most fun and addicting games Ive ever played. -Webah444
I cant wait for HCEO2! I love the idea of this game so much! Ive been waiting years for the sequel to be released!
Wow, this is one of the few apps that I feel get everything right. Theres no negatives, its fun, informational, and real. The design is superb and the content fantastic and humorous. Bravo!!! Looking forward to HCEO2!
Hipster CEO 2 should have something like when you sell your company, you can work for them using your highest skill. But overall a really good game and really fun.
Fun, a bit confusing and a bit cheesy but cool idea, I think #2 will be awesome but please add iPad support!
Please make more and have more features just so I can play for even longer!
Some bad moments
I just had an int overflow and ended up going broke with -2B$ ... Not cool
No regular big fixes, major update scheduled for August though.
Not worth the money at the moment, game is completely buggy (gains despite negative daily revenues, completely unreliable stats, completely incoherent message system).
Not well made. Just throwing "hipster" in the title does not make it any less crappy. It adds to it in fact.
This game either has a massive learning curve or mine is broken. I follow the guide, i do a bunch of tech stuff then i advertise, then when i try to sell nothing happens and i just start wasting money and then the game ends.
Its not possible to choose exact salary with current control. Right after you lift up the finger from screen, the value changes!
The concept seems great and I like the overall aesthetic of the game but its really lacking in the gameplay department.
Theres no real sense of time or when the game starts for that matter. You dont know if the game is running unless you set the speed to "1 second" and you have a high burn rate or income. The early game ends up being a bit confusing as you cant really tell when a day has passed.
The menus are a little too convoluted and feel tedious to get through just to do simple tasks like check how close your staff is to adding a new feature.
Overall, I was willing to forgive these minor details as they are not game-breaking but then I started running into bugs.
The most confusing part of this game is that it isnt made clear if youre completely starting over when you lose or if youre keeping your stats.
When you lose, you get to keep your stats so it becomes easier to develop your new company. Makes sense. What doesnt make sense is that your office options reset and everything but the apartment becomes locked again. Theres a bug however that allows you to start at whatever your previous office was. Its just confusing.
On top of that, none of your previous emails are cleared from your last business. Again, this could work fine but instead if you try and hire someone right before you go bankrupt, you can still hire them under your next company. Problem here is that they dont show up on the employee list but are still costing you money. Only way to reassign their role was to go back to an old email linking to their profile. Again, very confusing.
Theres potential in the concept but I would say to wait for the sequel. I would urge the dev to make this version free to gather more feedback to help the development of the sequel.
